Enabling you to extract your equity from the business

We help you to create the right exit strategy for your needs, and pay you a fair market price for the purchase of your equity in the business - giving you and your family or business partners the financial rewards that your years of hard work have earned.

One of the more difficult goals for owners of medium sized businesses is unlocking and extracting the value entrenched in the company. Succession Capital makes that goal easily achievable.

Because we utilise our own capital and are focused on long term ownership, we are able to approach your business with an open mind.

We do not seek to pay the lowest possible price for your business, nor do we look to pay over the odds. Once a fair price, and fair terms, have been negotiated and confirmed, we sign the deal and write the cheque.

The flexibility to meet your timing and exit strategy

Providing that your terms are reasonable, we will do everything possible to accommodate them.

Beyond the black and white figures of how much we pay you, are the equally-important terms and conditions. Every business owner has different requirements. Yours will no doubt be shaped by your personal circumstances and financial objectives, and may be influenced by tax or investment criteria, a desire to retain a residual stake, to bring crucial deals or milestones to completion, or to ensure that your children or key employees have a job after you leave.

Because our objective is one of long-term ownership, we are happy to work with you to achieve your exit goals and can be flexible in our approach to do so.

Ongoing involvement if you choose to

Where possible, we are keen for owners to have an ongoing involvement in the management of the business.

This is particularly important during the transition phase, especially if the business is not in a sale ready state or does not yet have sufficient depth of management.

If you would like to continue your involvement, rather than retire completely, we are happy to discuss an ongoing role over the medium term if that suits your plans. This can be done either through full or part time employment, as a director, or a consultant, and with a range of remuneration options – from residual equity to salary or fees.
